Tulum’s off the track jungle spots and other great places.

Get your bike and off we go. Heading to the beachside there are plenty of beautiful but very touristy bars and restaurants on the main road if you just head a little further and look for a sign at the jungle side that says “Clan Destino” you will find an authentic restaurant with great burgers and nice vibes. The restaurant has its own little cenote, good music, and cool people. And the best, they sell beers in traditional caguamas (1,2-liter bottle) in self-made classes to very affordable none Tulum prices! Ps: on Monday they have a 2x1 Burger promotion.

If you want to step up the jungle game we highly recommend you to stay a night in “Zocalma Glamping” treehouse. Disconnect, explore and enjoy! Around 15 Kilometers from Tulum in the deep jungle you can find a beautiful eco treehouse with the best hosts ever. Sustainability and re-connecting with nature was the mission when constructing and equipping the treehouse. They thought about totally everything up to organic toothpaste.

Enjoy pure privacy when taking a shower in the outdoor jungle shower or explore the jungle and find the two private cenotes. On your way, you can see monkeys, colorful birds and many other animals in their natural habitat. Gaze at the stars at night you can enjoy the complete silence. Breakfast is included and served via a snatch pulley to not disturb you in the morning. They prepare delicious healthy breakfast with local products. The perfect hideaway from Tulum’s touristy areas. The best hostel in downtown is definitely “Lum”.

If you are less the jungle and adventure type and more into local art we also have a great recommendation for you right on the main road in Tulum downtown. The “Tulum Art Club”. A beautiful place with great snacks and coffee that exhibits local art and hosts great events and weekly workshops. If you are an art lover you should definitely check it out! If you are a seafood lover you shouldn’t miss “Sabor de Mar” in Tulum downtown. They serve authentic, delicious and not overpriced Mariscos. Super friendly staff and you can even bring your own beer since they don’t serve alcohol. Our fav: the tartars

Not a secret but a must-do in Tulum is the famous mojito bar “Batey” best mojito San life music. Challenge yourself with a spicy mojito.
